It's been 12 years since we first met Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan in the Pixar hit Monsters, Inc. (Yes, I know. Twelve years?! I feel old.) This summer, the dynamic duo returns, as Monsters University
takes us back to Mike and Sulley's college years. With Billy Crystal
and John Goodman reprising their roles, the prequel promises to be a a
monstrous good time (and in 3D!).
In anticipation of Monsters University's June 21
release, Pixar has released several clips to give audiences a taste of
what the film has to offer. In the clips, we see freshman roommates Mike
and Sulley navigate the quite literally animated world of college. They
encounter all of the classic college stereotypes, from frat-stars,
jocks, and nerds, to terrifying professors and embarrassing moms — all with a fun monster twist.
Monsters, Inc.'s audience may have grown up in
the past 12 years, but I think it's safe to say we're just as excited as
ever to spend a couple of hours with our favorite friendly monsters,
Mike and Sulley.
