New York: Singer-actress Miley Cyrus has been voted
the worst celebrity role model for young girls, by a new poll of 2,407
parents.
Cyrus, 20, who recently caused a stir with the explicit nature of
her latest album, beat Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes to the title,
reported the Huffington Post.
She received 68 per cent of the votes collected by CouponCodes4u
for her 'inability to make positive life choices', 'lack of talent' and
'sexualised' appearance.
Cyrus began her career starring as the lead on the Disney show 'Hannah Montana', where she acquired a very young fan base.
But seemingly desperate to shed her good girl image, she has built a
reputation for wearing scandalous outfits and dancing provocatively in
nightclubs.
Other female celebrities to make the top ten with their 'bad girl'
personalities were Farrah Abraham, Rihanna and 'Hills' star Heidi
Montag.
Rapper Chris Brown, who was arrested in 2009 for violence against
his on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna, claimed the top spot in male
celebrities with 71 per cent of votes, followed by rapper Kanye West and
Justin Bieber.
