'Green Lantern' Scribe in Talks to Rewrite 'Blade Runner' Sequel

Michael Green, who also worked on "The Flash" and "Fantastic Four," is in negotiations for the sci-fi sequel.

Michael Green, who co-wrote Warner Bros.’ Green Lantern, is in negotiations to work on Alcon’s Blade Runner sequel, which is to be directed by Ridley Scott.

Hampton Fancher, who wrote the original movie, did the initial draft of the sequel.
Loglines are being kept locked but it is known to be set several years after the events of the classic 1982 sci-fi movie starring Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer.

Alcon’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove are producing the sequel with Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Sikes Yorkin, along with Scott.
In addition to Lantern, Green worked on superhero projects The Flash and Fantastic Four. He recently completed rewrites on Robopocalypse, Steven Spielberg’s recently shelved sci-fi tentpole, as well as Warners’ Moses project Gods and Kings.
