A short video of Heath Ledger's Joker-themed writings has surfaced online.
The footage, which was posted to Reddit and widely circulated shortly after, appears to be a clip from an episode of the German documentary series Too Young to Die. The specific film title in the series, as translated, is Heath Ledger: Favorite of the Gods.
The actor's father, Kim Ledger, is credited with appearing in an episode of Too Young to Die.

In the clip, Kim narrates as he leafs through the pages of the diary, titled "The Joker" on the cover, and shows various drawings and writings that Ledger collected. An Academy Award can be seen on the same table as the diary. The last page shows a handwritten entry of "bye bye" written across the page.
Ledger, who won a posthumous Oscar for his portrayal of the Joker, was found dead in his New York apartment only months before the 2008 release of Christopher Nolan's blockbuster Batman film, The Dark Knight.
Broadview TV, the production company behind the documentary, stated on its website that Heath Ledger: Favorite of the Gods uses "clips from Heath Ledger's films as well as interviews with former colleagues from early school days, colleagues from the film industry like Terry Gilliam and especially with Heath Ledger's father" to show an intimate look at the actor.
The film is listed as having an original air date of June 28, 2012.
