Behind the Scenes at 'Real Housewives of Miami' Party with 'Celebrity Apprentice' Winner John Black

'Real Housewives of Miami' Party: Lea Black and John Rich

Real Housewivs of Miami star Lea Black hosted a party at her Coral Gables, Miami, home last night with guest of honor, Celebrity Apprentice winner and country music star John Rich. All the Miami Real Housewives were there and the Bravo cameras caught every minute. Lea recently redesigned the interior of her home and this party was the big unveiling. The decor has a heavenly, old world yet modern Miami feel. The interior decorating company Hernan Arriago did all of Lea's redecorating.

These Housewives' events tend to be awkward spectacles. But last night was different — it was a genuine good time. The drinks were flowing and everybody barely noticed the cameras were even there. I spent most of the evening chatting with Lea's husband, Roy Black. Roy, one of the most highly respected lawyers in Miami, could not have been a better host. He was extremely witty and funny.
But the classy affair —complete with hors d'oeuvres, live classical music, and signature rum, cucumber, and jalapeño drinks — would not be complete without a little drama. In the center of all the drama appeared to be Lisa Hochstein... again. (Read about Lisa storming out in the middle of Lea's accessory launch two days earlier.)

At the end of the evening, guest of honor John Rich sang a song he wrote for Lea where, at one point, all of the guests sang Lea's name while he strummed acoustic guitar. He then poured shots of what appeared to be whiskey for himself and Lea and made a toast to the evening.
Most of the guests went to the Hermès men's store launch after the party, including Real Housewives Adriana De Moura and Lisa Hochstein and castmate James Davis AKA Elaine Lancaster.
