Unforgettable star Poppy Montgomery and her beau, Microsoft exec Shawn Sanford, welcomed their first child, daughter Violet Grace Devereux Sanford, on April 22.
And now, the proud parents are ready to introduce their beautiful bundle of joy to the world.
In the latest issue of Life & Style, the 38-year-old actress cradles her wee one as she takes on her most exciting role to date: motherhood.
And, as she tells the magazine, Violet is already turning out to be quite the trouper.
"We moved from L.A. to New York a mere three weeks after Violet was born, and I started shooting Unforgettable the week after that," Montgomery says. "Thank goodness Violet is a super-mellow baby and rolled with all of it beautifully. She's our little mascot on set!"
Montgomery's also getting a big kick out of dolling up her adorable tot.
"I love dressing her—all the beautiful, magical, sparkly ribbons and pink, frilly, fabulous clothes," the star says. "It's an addiction."
Little Violet is the first child for Montgomery and Sanford, and the actress also has a son, Jackson, from a previous relationship.
Shortly after Violet's arrival in April, Montgomery about the latest addition to their family.
"We are overjoyed with the arrival of our beautiful angel and filled with gratitude that she is happy, healthy and thriving," she said.
The new mom quickly jumped back into work after welcoming Violet: Just a month after giving birth, she was seen shooting action scenes for the CBS crime drama as it gears up for the premiere of its second season on July 28.
The show has been a roller-coaster ride for Montgomery, to say the least: After debuting in September 2011, it was canceled a year later. But in an eye-opening reversal of fortune, CBS decided to renew the show for a second season—a move that floored the actress.
"When it came back, I was genuinely flabbergasted and thrilled," she said in an interview.
A new baby and a new season of her TV show? Sounds like a terrific twofer to us.
