LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- NBC decided to give “Hannibal” a second season and series star Hugh Dancy said the cast and crew are, obviously, very pleased.
“We’re delighted,” he told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman at the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles earlier this week.
But
before Season 2 can begin, there are two more episodes to go in the NBC
show, which follows an increasingly sick Will Graham (one side of his
brain is incredibly swollen causing him to black out) as he investigates
murders and is pushed further and further into darkness by Dr. Hannibal
Lecter (who hasn’t told Will about what’s going on in his head).
“I
can tell you it gets even worse,” Hugh hinted about what’s to come on
the show in the final two episodes in Season 1. “Things aren’t looking
great for Will right now and I guess that the whole aim of this season
was really to bring that to a crux. I don’t want to tell you where we
end up, but it’s strong stuff.”
“I think we leave it in a very, very tasty place for Season 2,” Hugh added.
Tasty?
“It’s hard to avoid the puns,” he added, with a laugh.
“Hannibal” airs Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
