The Oscar winning actress was arrested after her husband, Jim Toth, was pulled over on suspicion of DUI. Police asked Reese to stay in her vehicle while they talked with Toth. However, Witherspoon had her own idea. She decided to exit her car, claiming that she was a U.S. citizen, and had the right to put her feet on American ground.
Reese also played the fame card, and told cops that they were going to be on the National news when they found out who they were arresting. She later apologized for her “embarrassing” behavior.
Reese Witherspoon canceling her TV appearances is probably a smart move, since buzz around her arrest is still high. However, the first time she sits down for an interview, she’ll likely be asked about the arrest right out of the gate.
