Iron Man 3 beats Tom Cruise’s Oblivion, gets record breaking opening

Iron Man 3 has rocked movie theatres with record breaking box office collections and has won the hearts of Iron Man fans yet again.
According to the Rentrak institute, the third film in the Iron Man series has collected a whopping USD 195.3 million worldwide during its opening weekend.
Iron Man 3 actor Robert Downey Junior has beaten the most desirable Oblivion actor Tom Cruise in attracting the cinema goers to the movie theatres. As soon as Iron Man 3 entered the movie theatres, the Oblivion star Tom Cruise was pushed behind on the second slot with just USD 30.24 million of international collections. 
While the Iron Man 3 will take a week’s journey to reach the eager fans in North America, the superhero has already won over Indian fans by releasing on a record breaking 100 screen across the country. The film released in about 450 digital screens and 350-400 single screens on April 26 in India, much more than the usual number of 200-250 screens booked by a big budget Hollywood movie.
Not only this, Iron Man 3 has even surpassed the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix collections of USD 193 million and has emerged to be the ninth biggest film of all time.
