Author James Ellroy has written a series positioned as a sequel to L.A. Confidential.
The drama is "being pitched to broadcast and cable networks as well as
emerging distribution platforms, with multiple outlets interested," says Deadline, adding there's a possibility of a straight-to-series commitment. It's a big moment for Ellroy, with his 2012 novella Shakedown being adapted at FX, plus James Franco doing a movie version of American Tabloid.
