Looks like Kristen Stewart is taking a break from vampire romance and fairytale films. The Twilight and Snow White starlet just signed onto two indie dramas that will be shooting this summer. The first is Camp X-Ray, an emotional story about a female soldier who enlists in the military and finds herself stationed at Guantanamo Bay. During her time there, she forges a personal connection with one of the long-term inmates. For Camp X-Ray, Stewart will work with first-time director Peter Sattler.
The second film, Sils Maria, stars Juliette Binoche as an aging movie star who becomes obsessed with a young actress (played by Chloe Moretz) when the teen plays the role that originally made her famous. Sils Maria, whose title refers to its Swiss setting, will be directed by French cinéaste Olivier Assayas, of Summer Hours fame. Stewart will play Binoche's assistant, a supporting role that Mia Wasikowska originally filled.
Following her much-hyped breakup with longtime boyfriend Robert Pattinson, it's clear that the young actress is keeping herself busy.
