LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Kanye West’s rep has spoken out regarding a tabloid story featuring a French-Canadian model who claims she’s been carrying on a relationship with the rapper for nearly a year.
“This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit,” the rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood on
Wednesday. “It’s a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is
clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories
drummed up by non-credible ‘news’ sources.”
Adding, “This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.”
The
notoriously private star (who celebrated his 36th birthday on Saturday)
will soon become a dad to a baby girl with Kim Kardashian, who is due
in July.
The artist’s new album, “Yeezus,” will be released on Tuesday.
