The 19-year-old actor famously slammed the successful sitcom in a YouTube video earlier this season. After the video went viral, speculation was rampant that he would either leave the show or be let go.
CBS probably didn't want to be left out of the renewal party, considering today brought news that NBC's Parenthood will be returning for a Season 5 (along with four other shows) and The CW fans will be able to see more shirtless southerners in Season 3 of Hart of Dixie (along with two more dramas).
Instead of an official press release, though, the eye network tweeted Friday afternoon that Two and a Half Men has been renewed for the 2013-2014 season.
It's unclear how often Jones will appear in his new "recurring" role. Try not to go an another viral rant about how your show is complete “filth” okay boys? Mind your Ps and Qs and have a lovely summer.
