Peter Jackson's second installment in the prequel trilogy is set to hit theaters on Dec. 13. It follows Bilbo, the dwarves and Gandalf as they continue on their journey to get the gold back from the dragon, Smaug. The third installment, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is slated for release one year later on Dec. 17, 2014.
The first trailer will debut on Tuesday, June 11, at 1 p.m. ET.
