Summer is upon us, which means coming-of-age film The Way, Way Back is
almost here. It doesn't hit theaters unit July 5, but in the meantime
we've got five new TV spots, a 1-minute trailer and a clip to get you
way, way excited for what's to come.
The film is directed by Groundlings alums Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (a.k.a. Ben from the recently canceled Ben And Kate and the Dean on Community).
It's about a teenager (Liam James) surviving a summer at the beach with
his mom (Toni Collette) and mom's jackass boyfriend (Steve Carell) by
getting a job at a water park. The rest of the cast includes Faxon,
Rash, Sam Rockwell, Amanda Peet, Rob Corddry, Allison Janney, Maya
Rudolph, and AnnaSophia Robb.
Allison Janney's son dances like Bernie from Weekend At Bernie's.
Steve Carell wants you to grab a buddy and go see The Way, Way Back.
You are holding...still holding...just about ready to hold.
Amanda Peet does not know the words to Mr. Mister's "Kyrie."
The Way, Way Back stars Academy Award-winner Jim Rash, sort of.
Steve Carell is a total douche in this movie.
