LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Glee’s” Jane Lynch and wife Dr. Lara Embry are splitting.
“Lara
and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult
decision for us as we care very deeply about one another,” the
52-year-old actress said in a statement to People. “We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.”
Jane
and Lara, 44, met in 2009 and got married in 2010 in Sunderland, Mass.,
with just 19 friends and family in attendance, including Lara’s
daughter, Haden.
In March, the actress spoke to the mag about her close relationship with Haden.
“My
greatest pleasure is Haden, my stepdaughter,” she told the mag at the
time. “I am surprised how much love you feel and how you would do
anything for your children.”
Jane can currently been seen on Broadway in “Annie: The Musical” as Miss Hannigan.
