Dave Brown and Zadoc Angell Join Echo Lake Management

Former Artist International managers Matt Horwitz and James Engle are also joining the company.

Dave Brown and Zadoc Angell have joined Echo Lake Management, the management division of Echo Lake Entertainment, founder Doug Mankof announced Tuesday.
Brown and Angell were formerly at Artist International, where Brown was the president of motion picture and television and Angell served as head of television. Former Artist International managers Matt Horwitz and James Engle are also joining Echo Lake.

At Artist International, Brown and Angell represented writers and directors working on such series as Sons of Anarchy, Justified, Grimm, NCIS: LA, Dallas, House of Lies, Last Man Standing, Rizzoli & Isles, Community and Arrow. They also have clients working on such new shows as The Last Ship, King & Maxwell, Gang Related, Killer Women, Lucky 7, The 100, Reign, Chasing Life, Surviving Jack and Ryan Murphy’s new HBO series Open. They also packaged the new ABC Family series Twisted, which premiered Tuesday.
Brown and Angell also represent a list of intellectual properties, including the Zenescope Entertainment library.
Brown worked as an agent at Genesis, was a manager at Benderspink and later ran his own management company Sleeping Giant Entertainment before joining Artist International three years ago. Angell also worked at Genesis and later as a television literary agent at Paradigm.
"Dave and Zadoc have built an impressive group of clients. We're very pleased to be in business with them, Matt and James,” Mankoff said.
Echo Lake Entertainment – run by Mankoff, head of management Mike Marcus and president Andrew Spaulding – encompasses management, production and financing.
Earlier this year, its management division also added talent managers Graciella Sanchez and Brittany Kahan.
