Brad Pitt is keeping very busy in the days leading up to the U.S. premiere of World War Z, the zombie apocalypse thriller in which he stars.

The 49-year-old actor, whose Plan B also produced the film, traveled to four cities throughout the country in one day to surprise fans attending screenings.

On Thursday, he began in Atlanta, at the Regal Atlantic Station, where he tossed out some T-shirts and gave a shout-out to the Braves before telling the noon crowd, "I'd imagine a few of you cut some classes to be here. We're going to make it worth your while."
Pitt then moved on to Philadelphia, where he told a crowd at the King of Prussia Regal Cinemas, "I just crushed a cheesesteak next door. It really is the perfect sandwich."
Next Pitt took on Chicago, where he literally ran into a theater at the AMC River East 21, sparking screams from the crowd. "It’s the most intense thing you’re going to see all summer," he said.

He wrapped up his whirlwind day in Austin at the Regal Westgate, where he took the stage with Aint It Cool News' Harry Knowles, who asked him how he would keep Angelina Jolie and his family safe from a real-life zombie apocalypse. "Get the fastest car you can find. Because those are quick!" Pitt said.
Pitt's crazy travel schedule hasn't been limited to just the U.S., either. Just two days earlier, Pitt had been in Berlin with partner Jolie for the German premiere. The Paris premiere was on June 3, and the London world premiere was on June 2.
World War Z, directed by Marc Forster, follows United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt) as he travels the world trying to find a cure for the zombie infestation. Paramount's film hits theaters on June 21.
