In March, Open Road Films pushed back the film's April 19 release date.

The Steve Jobs biopic Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, has gotten a new release date of August 16, 2013.
Open Road Films earlier in the year had scheduled the film to hit theaters on April 19, the 37th anniversary of the founding of the Apple Computer. But in March, it was announced that the release date would be pushed back.

The project, which was fully financed and produced by Mark Hulme's Five Star Feature Films, follows the story of the young college dropout who went on to become one of the most famous and successful innovators of the 20th century.
Directed by Joshua Michael Stern from a script by Matthew Whiteley, Jobs chronicles the Apple co-founder's life through the years 1971 to 2001. It also stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine.
The Aug. 16 release date puts the biopic up against The Weinstein Co.'s The Butler from The Paperboy director Lee Daniels; Universal's teen superhero sequel, Kick-Ass 2; and Relativity's thriller, Paranoia.
