'Showville' Promo: Small Town Americana Takes Center Stage — EXCLUSIVE

Showville
AMC
There's no business like show business and no people like show people, so it only makes sense for a reality competition to help those said people wind up in said business. Enter: Showville, AMC's new original unscripted program in which small town Americana get a shot at the big time.
The 8-episode series — which premieres on Thursday, May 23 at 9 PM ET — follows competitors in a small town talent show featuring local acts, who will get a chance to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight. The episodes will chronicle the process of the talent over the course of a few days, including working with actor/director Alec Mapa and choreographer Lisette Bustamante, and their eventual make-or-break performance. The winner of Showville gets $10,000 and, of course, bragging rights to being a hometown hero. AMC describes the hour-long episodes of Showville as "a celebration of performing, and a fond, funny look at the lives, workplaces, and families of these acts and what happens to them when Hollywood comes to town."
