The Lone Ranger truly is an incredibly superhero. Not only does he have a really cool horse
and
Johnny Depp as his sidekick, but he has the ability to remain anonymous
with the tiniest of disguises. With just a slip of a mask and a regular
ten-gallon hat, John Reid (played by Armie Hammer in the new Disney adaptation) is able to transform into someone else entirely — fooling friend and foe alike.
The Lone Ranger is such a master of disguise, he's got all the other
superheroes wondering why they've been trying so hard. From Batman to
Spider-Man and beyond, 10 of the world's favorite superheroes decide to
give ol' Rangey's stripped down costume a spin. Can you tell who these
masked crusaders are?
Batman... In a Mask
Who needs a bat suit when you can have an eye mask?
Christian Bale tries on the Lone Ranger's clearly superior costume. Or
at least, I think it's Christian Bale... It's hard to tell with such a
good disguise.
Superman... In a Mask
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? With that fantastic mask and hat combo I genuinely have no idea who (or what) I'm looking at.
Captain America... In a Mask
Oh say,
can you see? I can't see that strapping man's face, that's for sure. I
don't have a clue which patriotic superhero could be hiding under there.
Spider-Man... In a Mask
Is that
Jesse Eisenberg under there? He's wearing a hoodie, so I'm thinking it
must be. Wait. You're telling me that masked man is Andrew Garfield? I
never woulda guessed.
Cat Woman... In a Mask
Oh, I guess Cat Woman's mask is actually pretty much the same as The Lone Ranger's. TWINS!
Thor... In a Mask
"This disguise! I like it! I'll have another." — Some Superhero Who May or May Not Be Thor
Black Widow... In a Mask
Mask-less Black Widow knew it was time to up her superhero disguise game. You know what they say, go mask or go home.
Kick-Ass... In a Mask
Aaron
Taylor Johnson thought his Kick-Ass mask was a bit claustrophobic, so
he's taking the Lone Ranger's roomier version out for a spin. So far,
he's really into feeling the breeze on his cheeks, but is less positive
about losing his peripheral vision.
Iron Man... In a Mask
Tony Stark's glowing chest is a dead giveaway here. Without it, I never
would have known I was looking at Iron Man's alter ego. It's not like I
can see his eyes, nose, mouth, chin, or face in general.
Green Lantern... In a Mask
Who is that? This time I honestly don't know — I never saw Green Lantern. Did anybody?
