Pharrell Williams to Mentor on Rihanna’s ‘Styled to Rock’

Pharrell Williams will be lending his fashion expertise to the contestants of Style Network’s “Styled to Rock,” it was announced today.
Competish show is exec produced by Rihanna and gives 12 designers the opportunity to create fashion pieces for A-list celebs. Each week features a challenge surrounding styling a star, and Williams — a fashion designer himself — will serve as a mentor throughout the season.
The 10-episode series is slated to bow this year on Style.
“We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on ‘Styled to Rock,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, prez of Style Media. “Pharrell’s unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna’s vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”
“Styled to Rock” is produced by Shed Media, Overbrook Entertainment and Marcy Media Films. Alongside Robyn Rihanna Fenty, exec producers are Nick Emmerson, Pam Healey, Dan Peirson, James Lassiter, Sarah Weidman and Merah Chung.
