Paris Hilton to 'The Bling Ring' Cast: 'Don't Burn My House Down' (Video)

The heiress famously lent her real-life home to director Sofia Coppola for filming, but not without issuing a stern warning to her actors.

Hollywood socialite and real-life Bling Ring victim Paris Hilton was a good sport about Sofia Coppola’s movie version of the string of high-profile celeb robberies, not only appearing in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo, but offering up her house for filming as well.

And while the heiress ventured to Cannes for The Bling Ring’s world premiere, showering Coppola with praise for her work, Hilton may have had some early reservations about allowing the cast inside her bedroom, closet and “nightclub room.”

"I introduced myself to her, and all she said was, ‘Don’t burn my house down,'" Katie Chang -- who plays group ringleader Rebecca -- tells . "I was like, 'I can handle that.'"
Based on a Vanity Fair article about a group of spoiled Southern California teenagers who stole approximately $2 million worth of items, including clothing and jewelry, from the homes of Hilton, Megan Fox, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom and Rachel Bilson -- who were ultimately arrested and sent to jail -- Coppola’s film explores celebrity obsession, loose morals and selfishness among teenagers. Israel Broussard, Emma Watson, Taissa Farmiga, Claire Julien and Leslie Mann also star.

“All of this Hollywood partying is not just glitz and glamor, it's not just what you see on the outside,” says Julien, the daughter of Oscar winning cinematographer Wally Pfister, in her first major role as the scene-stealing Chloe. “And in order to have all of these things and properly own them, you have to earn them. You can't just take them.”
The Bling Ring opens June 14. For more from the cast, watch the video above, and for more from the filmmaker,  on Coppola.
