Benedict Cumberbatch featuring in the soon to be
released Star Trek Into Darkness is feeling helpless. The actor has been
turned down by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for a much needed
meeting. Benedict had approached him for help to understand his
character as he is gearing up to step into his shoes for the upcoming
film The Fifth Estate.
However, not happy with the idea, Assange refused to meet him at
all. Julian was afraid that the film will show him in negative light and
will not be doing justice to the purpose of his enterprise.
According to Benedict, Assange felt that the film can land him in
trouble as it would provide minute details of his enterprise. Hoping for
the best, Benedict believes that Assange will find the movie as much
more balanced.
The Fifth Estate is a film starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian
Assange that tells his story from 2007 to 2010 and shows the leaking of
the U.S. diplomatic cables in the climax.
Benedict believes that Assange has done a brilliant work in
creating an anonymous whistle-blowing website and his efforts need a big
applause by the world.
