You've all seen Iron Man 3. You've scratched your heads over its Westworld reference. You've heard Ben Kingsley talk about The Mandarin and Marvel Studios Head of Production Kevin Feige weigh in on the future of the franchise. Now it's time to dive deep into the latest Marvel Studios movie with the people who know the most about Tony Stark and his decades' worth of comic book lore.
Marvel's Marie Javins and Stuart Moore, co-authors of The Art of Iron Man 3, will be taking your questions in the first-ever Hollywood.com Get Thee to the Geek Google Hangout, moderated by me, Christian Blauvelt, on Wednesday May 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT, happening on our Google+ page here. We'll be going live on both coasts, so no one will be left out. And you can leave questions for Marie and Stuart in the comment field of this article and on the Google+ Hangout page itself, or you can tweet them directly to @Hollywood_com with the hashtag #gettheetothegeek.
Marie Javins (@MarieJavins) spent more than a decade on staff at Marvel, and most recently authored the prose novel adaptation of Warren Ellis' Extremis, the acclaimed 2005 comics series that influenced the plot of Iron Man 3. She also teaches comic book coloring at New York's School of Visual Arts.
Stuart Moore (@StuartMoore1) oversees Marvel's line of prose novels and has written numerous comic books, including multiple issues of Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. He also wrote Civil War, the first prose novel adaptation of the Marvel-spanning comic book storyline. Previously, he co-founded the acclaimed Vertigo imprint at DC Comics.
In the Hangout we'll be discussing the influence of Ellis' Extremis storyline on Iron Man 3, the depiction of the Mandarin in the film, Javins' and Moore's favorite Iron Man comics, and anything else you want to ask. So get your questions ready and see you on Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT
