Sorry, Leonardo DiCaprio: It's Impossible to Beat 'The Great Gatsby' Video Game

The Great Gatsby
Warner Bros.
"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther... And then one fine morning — So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
This week, Baz Luhrmann reinvents F. Scott Fitzgerald's iconic tome in a new film adaptation of  The Great Gatsby, transplanting the writer's capture of the 1920s in a modern medium. But Luhrmann's is not the only of this type of endeavor. Slate has created a Great Gatsby video game, a tribute to self-made millionaire James Gatz's tireless journey to achieve the American dream.
Get a taste for the game below. Head to Slate for the full version.
