NBC (Finally) Cancels 'Smash'

  In a move that surprised literally no one, NBC finally pulled the plug on struggling musical drama Smash. After two seasons of constant shake-ups, problematic plotlines, and lackluster ratings, the network canceled the Broadway-based series starring Katherine McPhee on Friday afternoon.
After Smash's move to Saturday nights mid-season this year, the cancelation was sad yet expected. The two-hour season - now series - finale airs on a special night, Sunday May 26. Let's hope the series doesn't end on a cliffhanger!
